How Much Do Your Business Law Services Cost?

We provide quality legal services at affordable hourly rates, but can also offer flat-fee value billing on some matters. While we don't post rates online, you will find them quite competitive and reasonable for our level of experience. We also work with lawyers from other law firms and specialties who can be engaged to assist as-needed.

What Sets You Apart As Austin Business Attorneys?

Our clients say they value our ability to give practical legal advice taking into account real world business perspectives.  We are easy to work with, and help build workable solutions. We want clients to succeed, and know that a one-sized-fits-all approach to the practice of law is not what most businesses are seeking.  As psychologist Abraham Maslow put it, “I suppose it is tempting, if the only tool you have is a hammer, to treat everything as if it were a nail.”  We approach every legal problem with a fresh set of eyes.

Shiloh started his legal career in a large international law firm, but left to work as an independent lawyer while also founding and running a non-legal business. This unique mix of legal and business backgrounds provide distinctive real world experience for our clients to draw from.  As a creative and non-legal business owner, he was surprised to find so few good options between DIY tools and expensive large firms.  His aim was to fill this legal services gap by providing high-quality representation at reasonable rates for business owners and creatives. His previous experience in quality management keeps him focused on the voice of the customer - which means clients of the firm feel listened to, cared for, and prioritized.

Can We Get Help Before a Business Law Problem Arises?

Our goal is prevention. There are a number of proactive ways business owners can keep legal budgets down and mitigate risks. We are often able to make recommendations to help clients stay focused on their businesses, and sleep better at night.

Once I Sign-Up As a Business Law Client and Call For Help, What Happens Next?

Our approach is the legal equivalent of a carpenter’s advice to “measure twice, and cut once."  We don't assume the type or amount of legal work required to solve an issue.  Instead, we help clients thoughtfully consider the circumstances of each situation.  Talking through an issue clarifies underlying business goals and reveals potential risks.  Once clarity is achieved, the legal work required becomes apparent, and a sound business strategy may be considered instead of legal intervention.  If legal help is needed, we discuss cost potentials and a timeline for deliverables.  Then you get back to work - hopefully with a lot less worries.

How Easy is it to Get Help With an Austin Business Law Issue?

Very easy! Simply contact us to see if we are a good fit, and if it looks like we can help, we'll discuss rates and then invite you to sign-up as a client.   If you need the attention of a specialist, we are happy to engage with or refer you to other resources.

What is it Like to Use Your Business Law Services?

We enjoy the informality we have with clients. Getting good legal help shouldn't slow you down.  Our services are just a phone call, email, or virtual meeting away.  We may not always have an immediate answer, but can start looking into an issue while you get back to working on making your business successful.

Do You Accept Business Law Disputes and Litigation Matters?

Our firm assists in litigation and utilizes trial counsel in counties throughout Texas. While our boutique business law practice focuses on the proactive legal needs of businesses, we also provide assistance in the review and/or drafting of documentation used in resolution of business disputes. In addition, Mr. Coleman also serves in an of counsel role with a litigation firm with offices in Austin and Dallas whose experienced trial lawyers handle matters that progress through the litigation process to both trial and appeal. This combined team of business litigation attorneys are able to bring or defend lawsuits in both state and federal court, advocate at mediations, represent clients in arbitrations, and assist with pre-litigation assessment of claims.
